Communication & Marketing is a support department of the University, providing a range of services aimed at enhancing the University's strategic position. The Department is largely responsible for positioning the University in the Higher Education sector as well as creating, maintaining and co-ordinating the positive image of the institution.

We strive to develop effective channels of communication with members of staff as well as the private and public sector, recruit students, market the University's programmes and liaise with the University's stakeholder body.

Six divisions are housed within the Department: Communication, Marketing, Student Recruitment, Digital Communication & Marketing, Media Management and Arts; Culture & Heritage.

Our offices are situated in the Administration Building on the North Campus in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth, as well as an office on the George Campus in the Southern Cape.
