The Media Relations mandate is to effectively tell the Nelson Mandela University story by strategically engaging the media

Our services include:

Facilitating media engagement on key institutional and other strategy-aligned activities
Assisting in drafting media releases, after agreement on core messaging and upon receipt of relevant information
Facilitating the writing up of OpEd pieces for consideration by national and regional media
Inviting relevant media to the planned activity
Facilitating interviews with media in attendance
Conducting interviews for articles to upload onto our University website and sharing with the media and on institutional social media platforms
Linking researchers, field experts and other University staff with the media to engage on and offer commentary on topical issues
